    Senjed is (Elaeagnus angustifolia)in English.Is its ordinary(?) name Lotus Tree?

    Sheida, Thank you for the information and the link. In my research I came across three different English names for "senjed". It's been called the fruit from the oleaster tree, jujube tree and also the lotus tree. In photos, Jujube fruit seemed very different than senjed. Elaeagnus angustifolia(oleaster)is also called Russian-olives and since sanjed is not an oily and juicy fruit I picked the last option! However, upon examining photos and researching further I came to the realization that Elaeagnus Angustifolia is the correct name for senjed. Thank you for visiting and commenting. Best Wishes.

    Monireh, eggs represent fertility, rebirth and creation. Samanoo represents the reward of patience and sweet life. Orange in a bowl of water represents the earth.
